Empowering the Landless Womens Association to participate in democratic processes in Nepal
There are laws and policies in Nepal that have been enacted by the government in favour of the landless and informal settlers. However, there are gaps in implementation, especially for marginalised women. The project supports landless marginalised women in implementing and enforcing existing land and housing laws in Nepal. Among other things, these women are educated about the current legal situation, receive training to lead political movements, work with actors at government level and lobby. These women are also empowered to improve their living conditions through income-generating measures.
