The number of affected schools has been reported to be 1866 (as of 15 Sept). More than 170,000 students have been affected and there is a crucial need of providing necessary support for children affected from the flood to help them overcome this kind of difficult experiences. Providing lifesaving messages and hygiene promotion for increased protection from various impacts of the disaster is to be carried out for affected children through teachers being trained in how to provide support to their students.
