The project aims at improved womens leadership in diversifying food production, harvesting and marketing systems through recognizing their roles and traditional knowledge of sustainable and resilient farming system. Additionally, the project aims at streng thened womens voice and influence in local governments ensuring incorporation of gender inclusive agriculture and food sovereignty in development planning and implementation In Nepal. Women groups within forest user groups and elected representatives in R amechhap and Rautahat Districts are the direct stakeholders of the project, while policy makers in federal and state level, development practitioners, civil society organizations and men farmers benefit indirectly from it.
