Technical support to education sector

The Government of Finland has contributed to development in the education sector since 1999 and is currently one of the development partners supporting the Nepali Government with financing and implementation of the School Sector Reform Plan (SSRP). The ove rall objective is to contribute to enhancing quality and relevance of general education by introducing TEVT soft skills (vocationally oriented skills) in school system in order to improve employability of students and to meet the demands of labor market. T he objective has been discussed with all major stakeholders and has been found to be relevant. No changes are required to the overall objective. The purpose of the Technical Assistance is to support the Ministry of Education in implementing the TEVT (Soft Skills) component of the SSRP that is operationalized in Annual Strategic Implementation Plans (ASIP) of each year.
