The project supports the Government of Nepal in its movement towards democracy with specific initiatives that enable the population to actively participate in the upcoming election of a Constituent Assembly and the drafting of a new Constitution. The project is being implemented by three Canadian organizations and is focusing on three key areas: civic education, local conflict resolution, and media training. The initiative aims to provide greater and improved access to information, understanding of rights surrounding the election, and increased ability of Nepalis to participate in informed debate related to the elections.
