Strengthening, Advocating and Networking for Freedom of Religion or Belief in South Asia
This project aims to strengthen the protection and promotion of Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) across South Asia by enhancing collaboration among civil society organisations. In response to ongoing discrimination and challenges faced by religious minorities and human rights defenders, it brings together 120 organisations from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, including grassroots, youth, and women-led groups. Key activities include regional forums, local consultations, and capacity building to improve documentation, advocacy, and knowledge sharing. By linking local documentation with international advocacy, the project seeks to raise visibility of FoRB violations, empower civil society, and promote coordinated, evidence-based responses that foster greater awareness and accountability throughout the region.
