Saath-Saath

(Nepal): The primary goal of the Saath-Saath project is to reduce the transmission and impact of HIV/AIDS and improve reproductive health among selected Key Populations (KPs) - groups historically most at-risk - in support of the Government of Nepal's HIV/AIDs efforts. FHI 360 implements this project in partnership with over 40 local NGOs. Expected results from this activity include reduced HIV transmission and increased use of family planning services among KPs. Under Saath-Saath, USAID will also improve the lives of people infected with HIV by providing home-based and community care and improving the quality of HIV and preventative mother-to-child transmission services. To build on successful prevention, treatment, and care services, this program will integrate family planning services at all Saath-Saath service sites. The project will also integrate innovative activities designed to address gender-based violence among KPs as part of an award from the Key Populations.
