Empowering 2,500 of the poorest and most marginalised women in Nepal, mostly from the Tharu tribal group, to improve their food security and incomes and influence local decision making processes
This project will support 2,500 of the poorest and most marginalised women (mainly tribal) in rural Nepal. It will work towards improving food security, incomes and self-reliance through the adoption of environmentally sustainable agriculture and will provide access to low-cost credit to establish micro-enterprises. The women and their fellow community members will also be empowered to influence local decision-making processes through community groups established by the project. ;
