DNDi people manage projects and partnerships so that new and adapted treatments are developed for neglected patients and people with neglected tropical diseases such as sleeping sickness, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, paediatric HIV, filarial diseases, mycetoma, hepatitis C, and others. From 2016 until 2018, DNDi Geneva incubated the WHO-DNDi joint initiative Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP), a not-for-profit research and development organization developing and delivering new or improved antibiotic treatments, functioning as an independent entity since July 2018. Since 2022, DNDi also incubates PANTHER (the PANdemic preparedness plaTform for Health and Emerging infectious Response).

PANTHER (the PANdemic preparedness plaTform for Health and Emerging infectious Response) aims to contribute to the control of future epidemics or pandemics on the African continent through a flexible ‘ready-to-use’ clinical research platform, supporting preparedness and rapid response through the development and assessment of adapted tools, starting with therapeutics and vaccines in Africa. Launched in late 2022, PANTHER has been incubated by DNDi during its start-up phase.
