REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (Published date: 15 January 2020) The Government of Nepalhas receivedfinancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the REDD+ Readiness Preparation Support Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the following consulting services (“the Services”: Study on emission due to illegal timber harvest (Contract ID No. NP-REDD-124263-CS-QCBS) Development of tree volume and biomass allometric equations for two species (Contract ID No. NEP-REDD-152640-CS-QCBS) Preparation of land use plans of 20 selected Municipality/Rural Municipality in and around the emission reduction program area (Contract ID No. NP-REDD-124824-CS-QCBS ……………….) Conduct baseline survey/assessment prior to the start of the FIP-Forest for Prosperity Project (Contract ID No.NP-REDD-148892-CS-QCBS ………………) The detailed Terms of References (TOR) for the assignmentscan be found at www.redd.gov.np. The REDD Implementation Centernow invites national eligible consulting firms(“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultantsshould provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.The eligibility criteria will belegally registered firms registered in VAT and up to date tax clearance status and short listing criteria will be qualification and relevant work experience in related fields. Firms need to demonstrate annual transaction, audit report and average annual turnover of last three years. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs,3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 “Procurement Regulations”, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a jointventure and/or asub-consultancy. In case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the QCBS methodset out in the Procurement Regulations.
