Government of Nepal Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Department of Water Resources and Irrigation Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project Tikapur, Kailali Request for Expressions of Interest Project: Modernization of Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Scheme-Phase 2 Credit No. IDA 61940 Publication date: 2 October 2022 Assignment Title : “Detailed Planning, Engineering Design and Cost Estimate for Command Area Development (CAD) Works of Tertiary Canals of Jamara & Kulariya Canal System and Design Review of Rani Canal System of Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project (CAD-2)” Reference No .: NP-DOI-MRJKIP-311248-CS-QCBS Government of Nepal (GON) has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA)- World Bank (WB) towards the cost of Modernization of Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Scheme – Phase 2 and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consulting Services for “Detailed Planning, Engineering Design and Cost Estimate for Command Area Development (CAD) Works of Tertiary Canals of Jamara & Kulariya Canal System and Design Review of Rani Canal System of Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project (CAD-2)”. The consulting team will assist RJKIP to design and estimate the CAD works of two canal system whereas will review the design and estimate of one canal system. Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project, Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Nepal now invites eligible Engineering Consulting firms to express their interest in providing the above-mentioned services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services i.e. company profile with financial information, description of successful accomplishments of similar assignments with equivalent size and complexity. The shortlisting criteria are: General experiences of the firm: Preferably 10 years’ experience of equivalent civil engineering projects. Specific experiences of the firm: Successful accomplishments of design of equivalent irrigation projects, preferably Command Area Development works within last 7 years Qualification and Experience of Key Experts in the firm. Financial and Equipment capacity of the firm The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraphs 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of The World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Fourth Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected. A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) Method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
