The Government of Nepal has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Nepal Urban Governance and Infrastructure Project (NUGIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Upgradation of Krishna Chowk – Community Forest Road, Urlabari. Bidding process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016, revised November 2020. 2. The Urlabari Municipality now invites electronic Bids from eligible Bidders for Upgradation of Krishna Chowk – Community Forest Road. The proposed road improvement work includes widening and improvement of existing mostly gravel road to a 5.276 Km double-lane carriageway width with provision footpath, green zone, traffic safety configurations and utilities complying the urban road standard. It comprises construction of a flexible pavement with granular sub-base, wet mix macadam and bituminous concrete layers. The proposed alignment will also have roadside drain, cross drainage structures (Box/pipe culverts), protection works and road furniture etc. Eligible bidders at least with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding (refer Section III for other qualification criteria): Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$ 2.53 million, calculated as average of total certified payments received for contracts in progress and/or completed in last 5 years. A minimum number of 2 road construction / reconstruction / upgradation / rehabilitation / improvement with asphalt concrete pavement works contracts each of minimum value US$ 2.70 million that have been satisfactorily and substantially completed as a prime contractor, joint venture member, management contractor or Subcontractor between 1st January 2017 and bid submission deadline. 3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing”, dated July 2016, revised November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 1000 to 1700 hours at the address given below. 5. The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders till office hours of 28 August 2022 upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$ 200.00 or NRs. 20,000.00. The method of payment will be direct deposit to the account number specified below. Or Bidder who chooses to submit their bid electronically may purchase the hard copy of the bidding documents as mentioned above or may download the bidding documents for e-submission from PPMO’s e-GP system www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp.
