Reference No.: NP-REDD-500379-CS-CQS The Government of Nepal has received a financing from The World Bank for Forest for Prosperity Project, and it intends to apply the fund for hiring of qualified consulting firm for Business Development Service Provider for Credit Facilitation in seven Provinces. The consulting services ("the Services") include providing business development support to both new and existing entrepreneurs for the improvement and development of forest-based enterprises. This includes the preparation of business plans and loan proposals in the provinces of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali. REDD Implementation Centre/Forests for Prosperity Project now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: core business and years in business, Relevant experience, Technical and managerial capability of the firm. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.15, and 3.16 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Sixth Edition February 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected. When applying as a joint venture (JV), each firm must individually meet the requirement of having a minimum working experience as indicated in ToR. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant’s Qualifications based Selection Method (CQS) set out in the Procurement Regulations.
