Government of Nepal, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Department of Roads has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this finance to payments under the Contracts NIRTTP-DOR-NM-W-ICB-1(A), NIRTTP-DOR-NM-W-ICB-1(B) and NIRTTP-DOR-NM-W-ICB-1(C) . 2. The Department of Roads, Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project on behalf of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Government of Nepal now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Upgrading of roads, drainage, and off-road structures of Narayanghat–Mugling Road from KM 2+400 to KM 35+653 in the Contract Package as shown below. Bidding will be conducted following the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 ("Procurement Guidelines") and is open to all bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest. 4. Qualification requirements for bidders include eligibility, historical contract non-performance, financial situation, experience, personnel and equipment as specified in the Bidding documents. Domestic bidders have the option to submit their bids electronically through DoR E-submissionsystem. However, this option is not available for international bidders who will be required to submit hard copies of their bids. 7.
