Government of Nepal Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project Request for Expression of Interest for Individual Consultant First Date of Publication: 6th January 2020 Government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MoICS), Nepal India Regional Trade and Transport Project (NIRTTP), a priority project of Government of Nepal finanaced by The World Bank/IDA, is seeking a qualified and motivated Consultant for the following study. The project intends to procure consultant for the following service for the period of 50 days. Expression of Interest (EOI) is invited from interested national individual consultants. Interested consultants are requested to submit their CV with covering letter to the Project Coordination Office, Nepal India Regional Trade and Transport Project or submit via [email protected] within 15 days from the first advertisement date of publication. The expected starting date of this assignment is from 1st of February, 2020. The ToR of the consulting service can be downloaded from Ministry's web-site, www.moics.gov.np (a) Preparation of Strategic Plan of Commerce Sector of Nepal (2077-2087)- NIRTTP/PCO/S/IND-111 Qualification and Experience: Master degree in economics, commerce, bussiness administration or international trade. Professional credentiaks in the field of strategic planning, international trade and/ or international economics are required. At least ten years working experience in South Asia on planning, analyzing and formulating strategic plan and plans of action related to general econnmic and foreign trade sector nad institutions working in the area of trade promotion and faciliation, trade infrastructure, trade regulations or procedure and other areas like export potential assessments; value chain studies, sector strategy studies; training and facilitating commercial officers export market strategy, etc. Track records of successful completion research projects in the past ten years with clear descriptions of the outcomes of such research works. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication. Effective cross-cultural interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to resolve higher-level work and issues with senior national counterparts, donor representatives, and senior-level Government staff.
