Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development Nepal Livestock Sector Innovation Project Credit No 6149-NP REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES " Reference No.: NP-MOLD-72652-CS-CQS (Date of publication 24 December,2018) The Government of Nepal has received a financing from The World bank for Nepal Livestock Sector Innovation Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services to carry out the assignment of the consulting services in the execution and implementation of the Construction work of National FMD and TADs laboratory (BSL2+), Quarantine offices, Veterinary Council building, Central Veterinary Laboratory (BSL2+), +Livestock Service Centers, Breeding Centers/Offices and refurbishment of some other offices and laboratories. The services for the project would include, but not limited to, assessment of existing facilities, identification of requirements, Surveying, designing, planning, supervision, preparation of Bid documents, measurement and billing of all civil construction works undertaken by the project. The service is also to assist the project in all environmental and social safeguards related activities during planning and execution and implementing the mitigation measures for the identified impacts to enhance the institutional capacity related to environmental and social safeguards measures. The consultancy firm should have a minimum of 5 years of general working experience with at least 1 project experience in BSL2+ laboratory construction. In case of joint venture, the lead firm shall have at least five years of general working experience with at least 1 project experience in BSL2+ laboratory construction. The selection of the Consultant and award of the Service Contract is done based on the procedures set forth for Selection Based on the Consultants’ Qualifications (CQS) method as mentioned in the Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, Revised July 2014.
