REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (Published date: 1st January 2020) Assignment Titles: Study on Emissions due to Grazing Contract ID No . NP-REDD-124261-CS-QCBS Study of Emission due to forest fire contract ID No. NEP-REDD- 124259-CS-QCBS The Government of Nepal has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the REDD Implementation Centre and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The particular assignment is targeted for (a) study on emissions due to grazing and (b) Study in emissions resulting from forest fire. The detail Terms of References (TOR) for the assignments can be found at www.redd.gov.np . The REDD Implementation Center now invites National eligible consulting firms(“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The eligibility criteria will be legally registered firms registered in VAT and up to date tax clearance status and short listing criteria will be qualification and relevant work experience in Biomass studies, Emission studies, Forest Inventory, drivers of deforestation and degradation, REDD+ and /or related field. Firms need to demonstrate annual transaction, audit report and average annual turnover of last 3 years. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs,3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 “Procurement Regulations”, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the QCBS method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
