Government of Nepal Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board (Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project) Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu (Request for Expression of Interest for Individual Consultant) Social Safeguard Specialist& Social Safeguard Mobiliser First Date of Publication: 23rd April, 2019 Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project (NIRTTP) (Credit No.: 5273-NP, Grant No.: H863-NP) is a priority Project of Government of Nepal financed by World Bank/IDA. Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MoICS) is executing Agency of this projectand this project is implementing by various agencies including Nepal Intermodal Transport development Board (NITDB) which is lead implementing agency for component C: Strengthen Trade-related institutional capacity in Nepal. Now, Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board is seeking qualified and motivated Individual Consultants for the service to be provided as (i) Social Safeguard Specialist (NIRTTP/PCO/NITDB/S/IND-71) and (ii) Social Safeguard Mobiliser (NIRTTP/PCO/NITDB/S/IND-67) whose service is mainly required for “The construction of Kathmandu ICD at Chovar". The details of the Terms of References (TOR) can be obtained from the website: www.nitdb.gov.np. The expected starting date of assignment is 16 May 2019. Key Qualification & Experience required for Social Safeguard Specialist Minimum Bachelor in Humanities or arts or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in the related field and 7 years experience as social safeguard officer/specialistfor civil engineering works. Master Degree in Sociology/Social Science will be an advantage. Good knowledge of WB's social safeguard policies. Good command in IT application such as MS-office and other basic computer skills; Experience in World Bank or other development partner-funded projects is preferable; Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent knowledge of English, Nepali/local languages.
