Request for Expressions of Interest (First Date of Publication: 15 August 2019) Country: Nepal Project: Nepal Livestock Sector Innovation Project (NLSIP) Credit No. 6149-NP Assignment Title : “ Livestock Sector Baseline Study ” Reference No .: NP-MOLD-96593-CS-CQS The Government of Nepal has received a financing from The World Bank for Nepal Livestock Sector Innovation Project and it intends to apply the fund for hiring of qualified consulting firm for Livestock Sector Baseline Study for the project. The scope of consulting services mainly includes: The consultant will take the overall responsibility for implementing and managing baseline survey which includes field survey, assessment, information analysis and reporting. The baseline survey will focus on collecting the data related to the key performance indicators including beneficiary profile (Joint Profile of Producers and Buyers) and their socio economic conditions, the local institutional environment, the local economic setting (access to market, access to inputs, finances, land, etc. Nepal Livestock Sector Innovation Project now invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest in providing the above mentioned services. Interested firms are requested to provide information demonstrating their qualification to perform the required services, i.e. profile, description of similar assignments, experiences in similar conditions and availability of key professional staff. The short listing will be carried out based on the following criteria: General experiences of the firm, Specific experiences of the firm, Availability of key professional staff, Financial information for the last 3 years, The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January, 2011 (revised July 2014), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Consulting firms may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications. A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Consultants’ Qualifications (CQS) Method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
