About this tender

The National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (NDRC) Nepal works across humanitarian assistance, disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), natural resource management (NRM), and emerging socio-economic challenges. Its principal areas of engagement include research and assessment, monitoring and evaluation, project implementation, technical advisory services, and knowledge management. Through research, consultancy assignments, and development and humanitarian initiatives, NDRC Nepal has worked in 69 of Nepal’s 77 districts. NDRC Nepal draws on a multidisciplinary pool of experienced professionals with expertise in DRR, CCA, governance, rights-based approaches, social inclusion, policy advocacy, and institutional capacity development. The organization works collaboratively with federal, provincial, and local governments, bilateral and multilateral development partners, UN agencies, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations. Beyond Nepal, NDRC has undertaken assignments and contributed to initiatives in several countries across South and Southeast Asia, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. It has established strong networks with government agencies and maintains partnerships with national, regional, and international organizations and development institutions. NDRC Nepal promotes the effective use of disaster risk information, knowledge, tools, and systems to reduce disaster and climate risks at local, national, and regional levels. Its portfolio focuses on strengthening institutional and community capacities for disaster risk management; enhancing urban and climate resilience; mainstreaming DRR and CCA into national and local development planning; improving disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and risk-governance systems; and conducting comprehensive disaster and climate risk assessments.
