BACKGROUND AFDC Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning & Coordination Intern to support a set of focused organizational activities over a 3-month period. This is a learning- centered internship designed for early-career development professionals who wish to gain hands-on exposure to NGO coordination, data collection, evaluation support — with a commitment of approximately 2 hours per day . The intern will work closely with AFDC Global's director and team to support three core organizational workstreams currently active on ReliefWeb. POSITION OVERVIEW This is a senior specialist-level position with scope to make a significant contribution to enabling the Hindu Kush Himalayan region to move towards a more resilient and green future for its people. You will play a key role in advancing ICIMOD’s business development and resource mobilisation efforts in support of Strategy 2030 and the Medium-Term Action Plan. Working under the line management of the Head of Strategic Results, Partnerships and Business Development (SRPBD), the Senior Business Development and Resource Mobilisation (BDRM) Specialist will support the development and delivery of ICIMOD’s resource mobilisation priorities. The role will focus on strengthening proposal development, expanding donor and partner engagement, and contributing to the development of a strong pipeline of funding opportunities. Reporting to the Director General (DG) and working closely with the Director of Administration, Finance, and Operations (DAFO) and Senior Management Committee (SMC), the DDG is accountable for performance, quality, and delivery across ICIMOD’s climate and environment-related research-for-development portfolio, including practical solutions for green, resilient and inclusive mountain development. The role supports Board-level governance and assurance processes; collaborates with the DG and SMC on strategic change priorities to strengthen institutional effectiveness and future fitness; and supports the DG to ensure coherence across institution-wide planning and monitoring, partnerships and regional cooperation, business development and resource mobilisation, and communications and knowledge uptake.
