We are looking for an experienced candidate who specializes in underground structures for a significant hydropower project. This role presents an exciting chance to contribute to A Hydroelectric Project, a key development in the energy sector. Key Responsibilities Supervise excavation, support installation, and reinforcement works for underground structures, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Oversee the construction of vertical shafts and surge shafts, focusing on concrete lining and specialized excavation methods. Ensure compliance with approved geological designs, technical specifications, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor construction quality, progress, and resource utilization, preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders. Coordinate with geologists, contractors, and site teams to facilitate timely project execution and resolve any arising issues. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years of experience in hydropower construction projects is required. Proven expertise in underground powerhouses, vertical shafts, surge shafts, and drill-and-blast excavation methods. Strong understanding of underground support systems and structural drawings. Required Competencies Exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in challenging underground environments and willingness to travel frequently between Kathmandu and the project site. Excellent technical reporting and coordination skills.
